A new arts centre located in an old bungalow at Mount Emily, Emily Hill comprises a cooperative of arts and art business organisations. As part of its branding exercise, we created its visual identity – five interlocking shapes taking after a “comma” and a speech bubble, and the five founding entities in the cooperative.
The 'Comma' connects phrases and words, but also offers a pause, a space that is necessary in forming meaningful sentences. It relates to the company's vision to provide a space that connects and makes for meaningful networks and collaborations between people, disciplines, art, business and life. The resemblance to a speech bubble suggests more simply the conversations that Emily Hill will bring about.
